Called the O’45, the striking kitchen island is made from sustainable hardwoods and features intelligent use of geometry to maximise storage capacity. With soft-close doors and drawers designed at 45-degree angles, this patented technology enables far greater storage space than standard ‘box’ carcases, and allows for more functionality. The Corian worktop includes a concealed Corian Charging Surface that charges your smartphone when it is placed on the countertop.
Its unique V drawers are packed with efficiency. The Modern British Kitchen Company has developed a series of function-specific inserts for its V drawers, working on the principle of ‘a place for everything, and everything in its place’. These include its Prep Station, Plate Rack and Cutlery Drawers, all featured in our showroom. Its titled 45-degree Diagonal Larder Drawers enable an uninterrupted view of all contents at a single glance. At the base of the island are Barn Drawers for larger or more decorative items.
The back run of the kitchen includes furniture from its Grid collection. This houses the integrated cooling and dishwashing appliances, together with the ovens and vacuum drawers. In addition, is a backlit display cabinet, which was handmade in Hampshire by The Modern British Kitchen Company for our showroom.
All the appliances in the kitchen at Cornflake are by luxury brand, Gaggenau and we are delighted to have held brand partnership events with Gaggenau at our showroom, most recently featuring Michelin star award-winning chef, Daniel Galmiche.

The company, with a history dating back to 1683, has revolutionised the domestic kitchen with its internationally acclaimed products. Gaggenau’s success is founded on technological innovation and a clear design language combined with high functionality.
The appliances in our kitchen are from the Gaggenau Vario 400 collection. These include 60cm Multifunction Ovens in anthracite with a matching vacuum drawer and an 80cm FlexInduction Cooktop with an integrated ventilation system. In addition, an integrated 60cm dishwasher, a tall larder fridge, and a Vario 400 integrated wine climate cabinet are all incorporated within the design.
Gaggenau appliances can only be purchased from an authorised retailer. Our retail partner Searle & Taylor is a luxury kitchen design company based in Winchester, Hampshire, and appliances can be ordered by them to be delivered anywhere in the UK.
