An award-winning experience centre and event space

The first of its kind in the UK when it opened over 10 years ago, our award-winning experiential showroom is designed as a luxury duplex apartment that can also be used as a private event space. This is where we invite clients to book an appointment to experience luxury smart home solutions so that they can see the potential in their own homes.

Fully immersive and crafted by the curators of connection, the Cornflake showroom is a place to feel, sense, enjoy and become present in moments of wonder. It includes an open plan kitchen and living area, a home cinema and multi-purpose media room, together with a specialist lighting suite.

Our showroom is also where we invite architects and interior designers to meet with us for briefing meetings and for formal training sessions.

The Boardroom – a smart conference room

This is the state-of-the-art boardroom on the ground floor of the Cornflake showroom, interior-designed by Studio Stephenson Wright, with lighting by Future Light Design. It features sliding glass doors, adjustable lighting and climate control. Embedded within the bespoke boardroom table are pop-up microphones and concealed behind movable bespoke wall panels is the largest high resolution 4K screen. At the touch of the controls, the microphones and the screen are revealed for meetings and video conferencing.

The Office – an interior designed home office

Also on the ground floor of the Cornflake showroom is a bespoke home office with classic handpainted joinery by London Cabinet Makers. Interior designed by Studio Stephenson Wright, with decorative pieces styled by the Harrods Interior Styling team, it is just a few steps up to the Boardroom.

The Lighting Suite

The ability to present different immersive home automation solutions starts here in the compact living room where technology can be controlled using a single smart interface to adjust the lighting, open and close the electronic blinds, to control the climate and to stream music and audio through concealed speakers in the walls.

The Open Plan Living Room and Media Room

While this room is on the lower ground floor, the light behind the windows makes it feel bright and open. This light is set to reflect actual daylight and it changes from day to evening. A stylish living room, at the touch of the user interface a projector screen descends from the ceiling, or an integrated TV rises from the cabinetry.

The lighting will change to subtle mood lighting and when a film begins, the ceiling lights will complement the colours on the screen. Heating is supplied by smart climate control and there is a fireplace with smart heating control. In a matter of seconds, the living room has completely changed to become a fully immersive media room for the most avid film viewers and gamers.

This fully operational kitchen with Gaggenau appliances is handmade in Hampshire by architect-led kitchen design company, The Modern British Kitchen Company.

The Home Cinema at Cornflake

On the lower ground floor of our showroom and experience centre, and accessed via a discreet doorway, is our state-of-the-art bespoke home cinema. Comfortably seating eight people, and with the ability to convert into a compact presentation theatre, this is the room where you will experience moments of wonder in this fully immersive setting. Featuring revolutionary THX 4K display digital projection, a four way auto-masking screen and Dolby Atmos 360 sound from active multi-channel Meyer Sound loudspeakers, this luxury cinema room is the perfect setting to enjoy film as it’s meant to be.

A dedicated Cinema room to meet reference performance, the room is fully acoustically treated and the system comprises of a JVC 4K Laser Projector with Lumagen Video scaling and Meyer Sound speakers with Acurus Surround processing. The design allows for playback of content up to 4K 60Hz 4:4:4 video signals and up to 9.2.4 Dolby Atmos sound. A completely bespoke Crestron user interface provides control of the AV along with lighting & climate. Source content is provided by a Kaleidescape Movie server, Apple TV & the latest generation gaming consoles.

The room provides an in depth education of what Lighting Control is and how it is crucial for a property A vast array of lighting fixtures are on display to demonstrate different types of dimming and control protocols, intuitive methods display are available to compare dimming and colour temperature performance. This is all made possible by Lutron Homeworks QSX whole house lighting control.

This area consists of an open plan Kitchen and Living space, with a clever mix technology the Living area can transform in to a Media room with one click. Aventgarde Uno speakers provide extremely high fidelity Hi-Fi sound, to add TV viewing a Sony 55” LED TV on a Future Automation motorised mechanism “pops” from the joinery unit for casual viewing. With a further click the TV can be retracted and a projector screen will drop down in it’s place for a true media experience.

This room immerses you in a gaming experience whilst everyone else in the room can enjoy themselves with a fully functional bar. A motorised rotating floor reveals a fixed curved projector screen with a pair of B&W bookshelf speakers. Separately a pair of Adam Audio active monitors provide background audio.

Situated in a back of house location this dedicated area contains AV, Lighting & security hardware, the room is climate controlled to ensure the equipment is always at a suitable operating temperature.

BYOD capability is crucial and the system has been designed from the ground up to accommodate this. There are 2 dedicated methods of conferencing; hardwired HDMI & USB connections within the cable cubby of the table and wirelessly via a Barco ClickShare (including Airplay). When connected by either method your laptop or mac will have access to the room 85” TV, invisible speakers, motorised pop-up microphones & ceiling mounted PTZ camera. The room still has access to all central sources as per the rest of the showroom.
